Hello; are you planning on taking commissions any time in the near future?
Yeah, ill open again , rn the Commission is opened but currently full
Good to know! I'll look forwards to the day a slot opens!
Can you do some scenes of the on-going Ukraine-Russia conflict?.
Say Xinom I hope you don't mind me asking this question. But are you open to trying out the dieselpunk, alternate history and/or retro-futuristic genres for new soldier pic ideas?
I have this idea I have for a while from multiple dieselpunk, alternate history and/or retro-futuristic genre pics of a WW2-era soldier. But I wanted to try something different from the usually overused WW2 styles. For starters, a fictional, German-inspired faction or an alternate history Germany using either dieselpunk-themed and/or 1950s era Cold War aesthetics.
The general idea was inspired by this video covering how the former East German Army adapted uniform aesthetics and military traditions from the WW2-era Wehrmacht for political and cultural reasons to set them apart from West Germany and avoid looking like carbon copies of the Soviet Red Army.
Plus, these two WW2 weapons which were adapted after WW2 into iconic Cold War infantry weapons:
(a) The post-WW2 Soviet RPG-2 and West Germany PzF 44 resembled the WW2-era Panzerfaust 250 which never saw production due to the end of WW2 in Europe.
(b) The WW2-era German StG 45(M) assault rifle which was adapted/developed further into the French CEAM Modèle 1950 assault rifle, Spanish CETME battle rifles, and German Heckler & Koch G3 battle rifles.
The general starting idea from these two groups of references was.... What about a soldier concept for a fictional, German-inspired faction or an alternate history Germany drawing references from the former East German Army (as it is heavily adapted from WW2 German Wehrmacht designs and military traditions) and uses dieselpunk-themed and/or 1950s era Cold War aesthetics? But said German soldier is armed with a German StG 45(M) assault rifle and also wears either: (a) a flak jacket like the types worn by US troops during the Korean War and Vietnam War (which had its roots from WW2 flak jackets originally meant for infantry but was only used by Allied heavy bomber crews until improvements were made for use by common infantry in both wars); - M1952A Flak Vest - M1955 Flak Vest - M69 Flak Vest w/ Stiffeners - Ground Troops Variable Body Armour OR (b) wearing the usual steel-plated body armour that is popularly used in dieselpunk soldier artworks, but tend to go overboard with the amount of steel armour parts worn like in Jin-Roh. Personally, I like to refer to the historical Red Army Steel Bib cuirass as it saw action in significant numbers.
Say Xinom are you open to discuss about this topic or theme? It's related to a future commission request.
Man....u can make a fanart of FEB, its brazilians soldiers in ww2, they fought on the italian front and there are few good fanarts of them
